Ok,

Well Newbie here and Ive visited about three dealers so far looking for info and what I want. No one seems to have exactly what I want, so how do I order one? The dealers all say they cant order one. I would love to be able to price one out on the Dodge website but thats a no go as well. Seems like they dont really want to sell many of these to badly.

How do you order a Durango?

You walk into the dealer, ANY dealer, pluck down $1000 and place your order exactly as you want it. Be prepared to have little haggle room on pricing. With that said, still expect a fair deal because they are getting a sale with little to no effort.

If you have already been screwed over by a few dealers, call their sales managers once you are set on ordering and pit them against one another on "dealing" with you as their pittance for fracking you over in the first place.

HTH,

Where do you live?
That is BS they just want you to take something they have.

I agree with FST.

Before I made my purchase, I mentioned ordering to both of the dealers I shopped at and neither of them hesitated or stumbled when I mentioned that. The problem I was running into was the same as you, in that they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. It's better for them to order one than it is for them to dealer trade one for you because they don't have to worry about losing part of the holdback to the other dealer.

Guys,

I live in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The local Lawton dealer is a fair guy but you're right they just want me to buy something off the lot. I think if I pushed the issue they would cave, if not there are 7 dealer within 90 miles, so I'm sure one would do it. I just wondered if there was anything special that you had to do? If its as simple as writing a check I'll get this knocked out quick. Thanks.

You can build online now - print and bring to a dealer that will order for you. I live in Dallas so placing an order was not an issue. Dealers in this area are open to either. I did need to battle through the...just take this one. It's almost what you want...we can add a tow hitch talk!

Good luck.
