Hey guys, im new to this forum.

I've owned by 98 durango with the 5.2l engine for about a year now and i really want to lift it. I've looked around and the only thing I really found was the 3" Performance accessories body lift. I would really prefer some form of a suspension lift. Does anyone on here have any suggestions? If i have to have something fabricated could you please link me to a page that would provide more information on that? Thanks

You can get a 2" lift for @ 50 bucks. Change the rear spring shackles and crank up the torsion bars. Just takes a morning to do it.

Welcome!
How much height will you be looking for?

Be very careful with going larger on the tires if you go off road a lot as the front axle won't do too well with the added torque needed to twist the larger rubber. Also, you might want to replace the wheel studs on your D for added strength. 98 D's had a problem with stud breakage.

To add to what FSTDANGO3 and MWeed have said...I have the Tuff Country Lift and it has been on my D since 1999 and I put around 150,000 miles on it. I've used it on some mild trails and the beach without any problems. I have had to replace some of the brackets due to rust. There is some cutting required for the install for the front drop down brackets and I can send you a .pdf of the instructions so you can see what's involved. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
