This is why, or how.

The best part though is, like the rest of the fine vehicles and their owners in the DOC, Indy isn't "in your face" about it. There was no gloating on the showfield in the Durango area at Carlisle, just a lot of "Hey that's nice!" "Uh, I don't like that." "How'd you do that?" "I wonder if I could?"

Agreed +3, however that photo makes him look like he was kissing the tires. Knowing Rob, that's probably not that far off.

Rob does deserve any place he gets. A lot of people would let their vehicles go after that kind of mileage, but not Indy. I look at his D and get the inspiration to restore mine to that standard, or close to it. After Carlisle I always get grand ideas of a total rebuild, and I mean a "frame off" restoration. But, if I do, I'll go all out and get black interior, including dash, trim, headliner, seats, center console, etc. Yes Rob, I remember. If I change out the dashboard, I'll change the heater and Evap core at the same time. I'll also recover the seats and install sound matting/insulation. When I see photos of a frame off restoration in progress for some of the cars, I get inspired. I have the vision, I just need the resources and $$$$ and this forum has provided me with plenty of resources and ideas.

I was cleaning the excessive tire shine on/around the tires and the fender well when I dropped my rag.

As I looked around the tire to get it? nothing. :?

I checked the other side? nothing. :?

Behind the wheel? nothing. :?

I ended up "finding" the rag on the top of the control arm just sitting there.

What I didn't know was that Candid Camera was around. ;)

What do you think? Other suggestions?

Could you share where you picked up the blue tubing?? Does it come in red?? I'd like to do something like that to mine.

Hey Old School. I updated the 2011 under hood from those photos from 2010 and have even newer plans for 2012 :!:

Nevertheless, YES you can get the split loom in all kinds of colors. Black and Red are the two most common colors out there so you can find all kinds of red hues. I'd suggest picking up one of these starter kits from Summit made by Taylor. You get multiple sizes all in one kit.

If you want some chrome too, they have a multi-pack of Taylor's chrome looms, these are what I used.

HTH my friend!

Now he just has to install that bracket, that's a fun one to change.
