I was wondering where you can get replacement valve cover bolts and the little metal grommet piece? I looked in the parts catalog but couldn't find them. are they available aftermarket? thanks.

As I stated earlier, DEALER ONLY!
Go to a dealer and get the part numbers and then order them online from Dodgeparts or Rock Auto.

What's wrong with bolts you have?
Clean them up on a wire wheel if they're just dirty.
The O-rings are lifetime use, so no need to change those.

the heads of a few are stripped and I broke 3 of them taking the valve covers off, luckily not flush! they're also rusted really badly and I don't see them getting too clean. I got new O-rings with the valve cover gaskets.

Wow, $100! I sold my spare set for a lot less than that.

I found a few spare bolts at the salvage yard, but they're rusty as hell! wonder if I can get them powder coated? has anyone had good experience powder coating bolts since they torque at like 18 in-lbs? I might get my fan blade and clutch done as well, or should I just do the blade itself?

You wouldn't want any coating on the threaded part of the bolt due to clearance issues. Backing them shouldn't hurt the bolt strength, but be careful. You'd be better off putting them in cardboard to hold them and spraying them with a good quality primer and paint.

My 2004 Durango valve cover bolts are good, but I stripped one out of the hole and need to order a heli-coil to repair threads.
Since the bolts are held into the valve cover, I can not get the bolt out to verify the size in advance of taking the cover off.
I can not find the bolts listed for sale anywhere, and I can not find the bolt size listed either. I have seen it suggested that they are 1/4 x 20 and 10M x 1.5
Can somebody tell me the size of these bolts?

4.7 value cover bolts

All you have to do is turn the value cover upside down put a deep socket under the head of the bolt against the metal grommet and tap the tread end with a hammer and they will pop out of the metal grommet....then get new bolts from tractor supply and without the shoulder they will slide right into the grommet
size is 6 mm X 1.0 pitch X 30 mm long $1.29 for 4 each
