I took my '03 D out for a spin today and it hit the 14K mark. If I keep taking it out of the garage like that, first thing you know it's gonna lose that new car smell. Wouldn't like that at all.

Dunno, putting a few thousand miles on it to take it to Detroit might get you a nice photo shoot. :)

And there's always a trailer. ;)

Though as an 03, you'd need to keep it on a short leash lest it vanish.

Nice mileage for an 03

Wow, I have over 112k on my '03. I haven't owned it the whole time, but I have put on over 60k since getting it 3 years ago. Why don't you drive your D much?

  :cheesy:

Boo Hoo indeed!

I'm going to come down there and eat chili cheese fries in the passenger seat! LOL

Seriously though, don't let the gas go sour, that can be a real mess!

Pathetic. Why even own it? It's not like it's a 63 Belvedere 426 Wedge. Jeez, not everything's a collector's item.

That's cool, I've been looking for vintage 360 emblems for some time. Unfortunately the 360 only came in the lame-ass truck in the mid-70s, which as I know wasn't known for engine emblems.

Those '360' emblems in my avatar were sadly destroyed last July when I hammered a pathetic urban troubadour and totaled her car. God shines on heavy V-8s. hahaha But alas, and to quote a long lost member, "whilst", I lost the emblems through the mayhem, $5700 damage, almost totaled, but I got the bugs off my bumper finally!

Then the tranny went so I figured, if it's going to be rebuilt, might as well have it done by a speed shop. You really need to check these two guys out. They're awesome! They both have Challengers, 09s I believe, that they run in the "Trak Pak" class.

If you want a 408, these are the clowns to do it. Saw 8 of them sitting there waiting.

good mileage! you better drive it some or those seals might dry out and start leaking. seen it LOTS OF TIMES.
Yeah, you're right. Actually, I do it drive it at least once a week but locally only, except for an occasional fishing trip. It's not driven more because I'm 72 and have 2 other vehicles, a p/u and a van. Although my wife is younger, she no longer drives, for health reasons. On trips, she prefers the Grand Caravan. She's never been with me when the 4wd was needed, so doesn't really appreciate it. I've never really put the D in a situation where the 4wd was needed, but have owned several Jeeps in the past and had my fun in the swamps and on the beaches. Everywhere you go down here now, land is posted and beaches are closed to vehicles, so 4wd ends up being something to just add weight and run the gas bill up but I still like having it.

Obviously I own it because I like it. I might even buy a Gen 3, not to please anyone else but to please myself. Same reason I've owned a bunch of other Chrysler vehicles, including Hemi's, 413's, 383's, 361's, 318's and slant 6's; not to mention various sports cars. You know what they say about opinions?

Good for you, I like 'em too. Mine is the DD and, to be honest, with the gas I've used over the years it just scares me. But I wish I had a 413, 426, 440? the biggest I've had is the 468 now in my Nova. FUUUUNNN stuff though! I can only hope when I'm 72 I'm still driving a V8!
