Anyone have experience installing a new stereo and hooking up the illumination wire? I bought a new deck last night and would like to hook this wire up (it dims the deck when the headlights turn on.) I can install the deck no problem, it's that wire that's making me pause.
Did a little googling and learned that on our Dingos the illumination wire is black/yellow. I?m guessing that means it?s a black and yellow wire not a black or yellow wire, correct? :? That?s about all the information I was able to find. Don?t know where the wire is located in the Dingo though. Does it already run to the factory head unit? Is it by the light switch? Some place else?
Also, I know I?ll lose the factory amp, so should I remove it? Anyone know where it's located?
