I don't know what the P code was, but I have two piecse of advice for anyone else that encounters this problem: TAKE OFF THE SKID PLATE TO CHANGE THIS SENSOR AND PUT BOTH OF YOUR RAMPS UNDER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TRUCK. No one told me this and I had the front end up (making all of the tranny fluid run to the back where the sensor is, thus leaking out the hole where the sensor goes) and didn't take the skid plate off. I didn't have a good view of what I was doing and put the sensor in and tightened it down with a ratchet. Since I couldn't see, I didn't know that the sensor was in there crooked. I cross-threaded the sensor and barely got it into the hole. All of my tranny fluid leaked out as I was driving. Luckily I didn't damage the transmission and in the process effectively changed the fluid. On monday I ramped the left wheels, took the skid plate off, saw the problem, corrected it, refilled the fluid, cleared the code and it's been fine since then with no CEL. Thanks for the very vague help, guys. P code available or not, Output Speed Sensor Circuit Fault only applies to 1 P code, so why does it even matter? :?
Has anyone ever considered making a How-To section on the site here, or a listing of the P-codes readily accessible instead of having to search for everything? The BB I use for my car has all of this info under a couple links in the header of the site and eliminate a lot of the questions like this on the site. In the cases where it doesn't eliminate them, they get 1 reply with a link to the how-to and a lock. Makes for a pretty simple solution. ;-)
