I posted before about this. I have really gotten up under the dash and looked at how things are put together. I'm betting the "plug" you guys are saying you have (when you really have a tow kit which I don't) plugs between the pedal and the wire harness. Could some one stick their camera up there and give me a picture? If I had more junkyards around I could go hunting there but I'm in the boonies. I'm getting no help from my dealer here, and would have to drive 40 min one way to get to a bigger dealership. I have checked and the truck and it does have a tranny cooler. Which makes me feel a little better. If I have a picture it might help at the dealer.
I installed a wire harness from the rear to the front and I'm working my 4 wire trailer fine. I just need to get the rest of the 7 wire going. The stupid drawings they give for the wiring just shows a blue wire wadded up under the dash. They don't have a single word on the drawing about the hook up (or a single word for that matter.) The last page shows a DB then points to a little trailer. This is all sooooo helpful! So if I can find the correct adapter it'll save me having to bore more holes in my firewall to run wires that are basically already there. My Gen 1 had the plug and play connection? boy do I miss that!!
