Thrush, Thanks, for the heads-up on the hotel situation.

Any ideas for a place to gather for a cold one & dinner out after the gates close Saturday evening?

Plenty of places in Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley. Bw3s in Lakeville just off I35 and, depending on your hotel, we may be able to find a nice place nearby. Don't fret on a nice place to chow down.

Well, it's now your computer for sure seeing as how you can get online from other PCs. Good luck figuring it out. PC problems suck!

We're looking forward to seeing you my passport required friend. Don't worry about chow there are plenty of places, although I don't recall any Tim Horton's? ask me how I know that name?

hmm, been to Canada's crappiest coffee shop have you. No thanks! I try to avoid timmies as the locals call it. lol I'll stick to beer once the Durango's parked, or the wife can drive. :cheesy:

Sorry about your experience, I thought it was pretty good. I got kind of used to it when my D was getting the radiator surgery/replacement in the fall over in Toldeo. Plus when I was based in Pittsburgh, I'd make road trips to Indianapolis and there was a TIM H right off my fuel stop exit in Dayton near the airport. Locals up here swear by Caribou coffee, their marketing campaign is you get 10¢ off your order if you get the question of the day. No daily doubles, just general fairly obscure trivia info and there's not a lot lost if you don't get it, but 10¢ is 10¢ right? Good coffee recommendations for your trip.

You usually get good coffee at truck stops because high traffic means high turnover on the coffee so you have a pretty good shot of either just coming in at the beginning of a brew cycle or just waiting about 5-10 mins to have the fresh stuff.

If you miss the fresh brew cycle, you're still not out as most truck stop service centers usually pitch coffee after about two hours and start again to keep fresh coffee for not only truckers but motorists and State highway patrols. I've even gone so far as to make the coffee if they're busy and wasn't charged.

End of cycle and pot is almost empty, you can usually talk to the manager to get a fresh pot going. Again a 5-10 min delay, but it's a good time to stretch and walk around while waiting for the fresh pot.

Chain coffee recommendations are Caribou Coffee, Dunkin Dounts, Dunn Bros, Einsteins, and if you're brave Starbucks.

Some of those places might be in the service centers or very close to the truck stop exit. If you get in early enough, let me know and we might be able to grab an adult beverage on Fri night.

Hey don't count out Mickey D's. They're giving ol Starbucks a run for their money. I can't see paying $5+ for a cup of java tho!

As of last Saturday I was the only D signed up for showfield. I hope there are some last minute showfield sign ups. I should be easy to spot, the only D in a sea of Ram pickups.

I look forward to seeing the DOC and Duranog Forum members rain or shine, showfield or not. Stop by check out my ride and introduce yourselves.

Pres, Indy, I'll try to represent the DOC in good fashion.

I'll see you there. sorry for not entering. you can be the go to guy for where we can all meet up later for the "must" all together Durango shot. if I drive all the way there I got to get a few pics of your durangos.

Just taking a break from cleaning the exterior of tree sap & a few bird droppings on the K9Unit. Has to be at least presentable condition for a DOC gathering.

Mopars in the Park June 5-6, 2010

Midwest mopars show stuff
Link has information on non-judged entries and an email address for questions so I sent an email asking if the "non-judged vehicles" are allowed to park next to the "judged vehicles"? Depending on the response, the K9Unit might be parked next to Magic84.

Well made it to Jamestown North Dakota tonight, about 8 hrs driving after work.

Saw six deer, an owl? that tried to smash my windshield, and two cats. Night driving is fun.
