Hi there,
We just bought a 2000 Durango SLT 4x4 with 93,000 to replace our Olds Alero that was basically dead. It kept getting stuck in the snow here and with our new uphill driveway, no amount of money on new tires and shoveling would let it go up into the garage. So once we got the money together, we started searching and found this nice example for a pretty decent deal.
It does need some work done to remove some rust from the rocker covers and the driver's side door inside skin, but outside it's pretty mint.
I joined the forum looking for ideas to increase its lifespan and to maybe increase its driveability for her next winter. Here's a pic to see what we had to contend with this winter:
That's the Alero stuck at the bottom of our 150ft uphill driveway in the first of many 8"+ snowstorms this year.
So far the D is completely stock. White exterior, tan leather interior. I'm trying to research the feasibility of fixing the rust and maybe lifting it to cope with these big drifts this coming winter.
