Way on back when the D was newer we had the tranny flushed. Since the D has gotten older, I only go in for filter changes, clean the pan, and top-off fluid, bands if necessary.
I was thinking the other day, well, this only changes a portion of the fluid in the transmission. I thought about installing a pan with a drain and then draining the pan at every motor oil change and topping off the transmission fluid.
How's everyone handling the tranny fluid change out in their older D? I'd like to keep her running strong for some time to come, which of course no longer involves a tranny flush.
