I'm wondering if there's a way to turn on or get the parking lights to flash when you lock/unlock the D with the keyless entry fob? I had a 98 Grand Cherokee that did this and I'd like my 99 Durango to do it.

Thanks all.

I don't know how to turn them on, but mine's done that from the start.
It may be in the user manual.

My 2002 does that, I took out the horn honking since some old people got pretty scared when I was locking or opening it. The programing is done with your key in the ignition and the How To is in the owners manual.

That must be a 2001+ thing. My 2k doesn't have that option.

Are you sure? I think it might just be turned off.

There's no mention of it in my owners manual. I always wondered why it only did the interior lights??

Yeah, I was just thinking I need to put that back in the glove box before it grows legs.

Your may or may not be able to program this feature yourself on your 99 :?

See my 08/11/05 reply to the Programing a key fob thread for info on how to determine whether your 99 will need to go to the dealer or not to get it turned on.

Note: all 98 model D's require a trip to the dealer to turn on/off any of the special features (i.e. auto door lock, horn chirp, lights flash, etc.) or to program a new remote.

As for instruction on "how" to program it, you'll need access to a 99 FSM for those. I did google this and found instruction on how to add a new remote for 99's that "can" be self-programed but nothing on how to turn on/off all the various features once you get the CTM into program mode.

You have to go to the dealer. :wall:
