I want to add a gauge pod to hold 3 gauges. Is 2 1/16" the one to get to put on the pillar pod? What's available for our D's as far as the pillar ones go? Are there any other alternatives than using the pillar pod? Dash mount under dash? I thought the digital ones would look pretty cool! I want to add oil pressure, voltage and temperature. Voltage should be pretty simple but for the oil pressure and temp I'm not sure about how they'd be hooked up? :?

Thanks!

You can get 3 gauge pillar pods from Jegs if I remember where I got mine. 2 1/16" is the correct size; there are plenty of gauge companies that make this size.

Why not go with 3 gauges that aren't redundant to what the indash cluster tells you? You already have oil pressure, water temperature and voltage. Albeit the dash doesn't provide numerical data, just 0 to 100, but I'd say get some that you don't have.

I have a wideband A/F, transmission temp and a vacuum gauge. Why vacuum gauge? Because it's the only one that moves! 3 gauge pillar was the same price as a 2 gauge pillar, so why not?

BTW, I think the pillar pods are listed for Dakotas, but work just the same. Then go to dealership to buy some spray paint the same color as your interior and voilá, factory install.

X2 on the Autometers. I have the Ultra Lite gauges and they're awesome.
