I have a question.

I recently had a Westin safari bar put on and I looks as if the front bumper may have dropped some. Is that possible? Does the front bumper have a up or down adjustment? How do you adjust? Anyone else experienced that before?

Thanks :?

Yes, you can adjust the front bumper. Do it at the brackets that bolt to the frame.

Its the same two bolts use took out to slide in the Westin supports.

Loosen them up, place a floor jack up under the center of the bumper (I had to put something under mine to get it up high enough), jack the bumper up level. With the jack in place supporting the bumper where you want it, retighten the bolts. Get them very tight.

You're done. Bumper is straight and the Westin is on.

I know this is a old post, but my bumper still looks like it's down too far. Does anyone have a up close pic or know how much the gap is supposed to be between the bumper and the grill and the bumper to the headlights? I'm having a hell of a time with this thing because you can't get a jack underneath due to the radiator support and you can't raise it by the plastic bumper cover.

Any ideas? :wall: :wall:

You loosen the bolts and jack up the bumper, not the rad support. I had to sit my jack on a double stack of 4x4 posts to get it high enough. Once you get it loose and the jack to where you have moved the whole thing, it gets easy.

Get those bolts TIGHT when putting it back in place. There are only two of them.

Here's a photo of what I think is the proper gap with a Westin in place.

Thanks! Could I lay a heavy board like a 2x4 across the safari bar mounts that stick out on the bottom and jack it from there? The gap I have between the bumper and the corner light is so much I could access the corner bolt to remove the headlight between the bumper. Is that too much?

Show us a pic, we'll say if it's right.

well I layed a 2x4 across the top of a floor jack, the board pushed up on the westin mounts and raised it into position! glad that's over!

Looks like you need to get the driverside pushed in a 1/4" in comparision to your otherside.
Everthing else looks great!
