    Which Freon can I use to recharge my 2015 durango r/t?

    open your hood there will be a sticker will tell you what weight oil to use also the freon i think it is 134a

    Yes, any brand. However, I would take your Durango to a professional. They would test the system for leaks, do the repairs, then evacuate before recharging to the proper poundage. Plus, any Freon still left in your A/C will be captured and not just released into the atmosphere.

    2015 uses HFC1234y, I have yet to see it in stores. You'll have to go to the dealer.

    If the system needs freon, something is wrong. it doesn't leak or vanish.

    get it checked out, you can end up throwing a lot of money at it without ever fixing it.

    Check the underhood sticker to be sure. Manufactures are switching over to the new stuff, but it seems to be hit and miss which vehicles and why. WE had 2 mustangs in the shop in the last 3-4 weeks of the same year model and they used different refrigerant. Not sure but I dont think it is available in parts stores yet. Also takes a different connection than the 134 system.
