I'm new here, but Carlisle is a little over an hour from me. I would love to go and check it out. Can you guys give me any info? I'm doing some interior mods, rims, stereo hopefully exhaust by then. Should I register or just go check out the event.

You should definitely register and come hang with the usual fairly large group. Always a good time!

So I will see if I can get a block of rooms for us as Steve has done for us in the past. Can you post up if you are planning on going and if you will need a room? I am going to try the same hotel as last year.

Thanks, Ray! I will be coming, already registered with Carlisle, and will need a room.

So I just tried to get a block of rooms at the hotel that has been used the last 2 years (maybe longer but I had not been there previously) and they only have 7 King rooms left. That is one King bed so room is only for 2 people. Since they have so few left they can't put any aside for us, and since there is no block. no discount. Have to jump on this earlier next year. I will try some others and see if I can get any sort of deal, but probably going to be tough since the dates for the show were announced quite a while ago. Anywhere, if you do need a room jump on the phone ASAP:

I just called them, the best rate (AAA member) they could offer was around $220 a night. I ended up booking at Park Inn by Radisson Harrisburg West, a little north of the Country Inn, about the same distance to the fairgrounds, for $120+tax a night for Friday and Saturday nights through booking.com, King bed, cancel without penalty up to 6pm the day of check in.

    Thanks for stepping up Ray..

homewood, towneplace, and hampton seem to have $180-ish rates... I quickly poked at Hampton and they didn't want to do a block for that weekend either.

So I would recommend everyone who thinks they will be going: hop online and get a room. I'm booking a "suite" at Homewood on Ritter, if Lauren doesn't come I'll have a sofabed available.

My guess is that we won't be able to do the parking-lot party at country inn (unless we have a lot of folks reserve).. so we'll have to figure out our evening meal plans as time gets closer.

I will deal with the tent/tables on the showfield.

Thanks Tom. Let me know what else I can help with. I have a room at Country Inn again, if anyone else does post up so we can get a head count.
