Brand new member with questions about how to play CDs

Hi guys, I just signed up. I have a 2017 Durango GT and love it with one exception. My wife can't play her CDs in it. I showed her how to use the smaller SDs, but she wants to use her CDs. Are there any options out there to install a CD player that looks good? Thanks.

Thank you. I didn't even think to ask them.

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum.
I digitized all of Carol's CD's to MP3, then, gave her 2 flash drives.. This was for her Honda Pilot, though I'm sure she could use the same drives if the DD. That is --- if she ever DROVE the DD.

Sidenote and another topic: For some odd reason, She gets "creeped-out" when she drives the Drango. On our last LD road trip, she drove for less than an hour before I had to take over again. I don't get it. The DD being close to the same as her Pilot, is one reason I BOUGHT it as opposed to the new Ram I was drooling over at the dealership --- just so she could drive it in a pinch (she didn't like driving my pickup either)

I just went to the dealership and they didn't know of any MOpar CD kits for our Durango. They sent me to Freeman's and they have one, but had to order it.

I went to Freeman's and bought an A.I.S CD player designed to plug into the HDMI and the UCONNECT will recognize it and control it. Next problem is mounting it. My console has a fabric material lining the inside of the console. The suggested mounting is using the supplied double side tape or patch. So, does anyone have an idea what will adhere to this material? I'm trying not to drill holes for a mounting bracket.

Well, the A.I.S. CD player didn't work out as the Uconnect 8.4 didn't recognize it. It just spit the CD out. I brought it back and they ordered another style player. This one looked like a MOPAR brand player. You have to remove the radio and plug in a harness and a control box of some kind then run a wire to the player. This one worked. I'm still installing the player which will be under the driver's side seat. There is a nice bracket under the seat that will work perfectly to hold the player. Also, it's almost out of site. Once I'm done I'll try to describe how I did it and what part numbers I used.
