    Help with Spark Plug Wiring.

    I have a 2004 Durango SLT 4x4 with a 5.7 Hemi, I just got it a few weeks ago, and going through some basic service stuff. Anyway, the vehicle had over 195,000 so I started with Plugs, Coils and Wires. None of which was very fun. And my first time experience with a Hemi with soooo many plugs, coils and wires. Plugs were a NIGHTMARE to get out, took several days. ONE BROKE OFF IN THE HEAD. I had been stressing and worried to death over that, got it out and all plugs, coils and wires replaced, however, the OLD and NEW wires were NOT numbered and now I wonder IF I wired them back right ?? I’ve looked and searched online but being honest and I guess just stupid, I don’t understand the routing diagrams. I understand that the cylinders are, Left 2, 4, 6, and 8, Right side, 1, 3, 5, and 7 but thats all I understand. Can Someone PLEASE help me with more Simpler way of explaining where the ALL the go, how they route ?? SORRY FOR THE LONG POST!! The Attached Pic is what I found but I’m
    still dumb founded by it?!?

    1 <-> 6
    2 <-> 3
    4 <-> 7
    5 <-> 8

    so, for example, there is a wire that goes from the #1 coil to the #6 plug, and a wire that goes from the #6 coil to the #1 plug

    The placement in the loom is semi-important, because you may get crossfiring if the wrong wires are next to each other.

    Look here for my write up when I changed my 04 Hemi plugs. My oem wires were numbered. Since I went back in with an oem set, they were also. They also had the year of production on them. Old wires were 2003. New wires were 2010.
