Build and price online at cars.com

Even though you can't build and price an Aspen (or '07 Durango) on DC's site, you can do it at cars.com. Both vehicles fully equipped come to about $43-44k. At first the Aspen will only come in the Limited model and my local dealer expects to have their first one in a couple of weeks (he said it's already shipped.) Starting price for an Aspen 4x4 Hemi LTD is $33k. I suspect Chrysler will eventually come out with a lower priced model like a touring version after production ramps up.

I just read the Aspen review at Cars.com. In the closing statement, they call it an "Ogres" and if you're in the market for one, the Apsen is worth a look.

Someone remind DCX to [b]always/b> put their best foot forward and not send out anything but the best for review (i.e. the Hemi configuration.) Also, I hope they remember the Ogre comment when choosing a company to review their next model.

An "expert" review and reviewer eh? I think not.

P.S. I read elsewhere (and was unofficially mentioned at the plant tour) that the next facelift/refresh on the Durango/Aspen is 2009. Since '09 models come out in late '08, I hope it's a new year remodel and not a mid year refresh so we don't have to wait so long from now. I hoping for a Nitroesque look to the next new D/Aspen? with optional 6.4L Hemi of course. Something worthy of us calling it a real Gen3

    If there's a God that won't happen. I want a 6.4L revamped Gen1.

Agreed! If so, I'm buying two of them, one to drive and one to store until I finish with the first one a short 200,000+ miles later
