With all the positive comments maybe we should consider a club name change DAOC.

I don't have anything against 20" rims? as long as you're running 37+" rubber!! 40" rubber would be even better!!

I don't know, with maybe some 20's and diff exhaust system it'd look pretty good ti think.

Not so fast, http://durangoclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2749 way back in September I declared myself the first member of the DAOC

Let me be the dissenting voice (like that'll be a first ) but I kinda like the exhaust tips. Also, with all of the hoopla from DC regarding the "signature grille and identifiable hood with the Crossfire" I'm really shocked that they allowed their folks to mess with those. Spells trouble already, even though I love the hood scope.

    JMHO.

sorry to correct you but the bigger the rim and the smaller the side wall the better a vehicle will corner.
as for its looks I actually think the rims look small. the exhaust? well it looks kool but not on a that. love the grill and hood.

    Modded

The bigger rim may make it corner better, but the ride quality suffers due to the lack of sidewall to absorb bumps.

Almost all of the truck reviewers say that for a good cross between ride and comfort the rims should be no bigger than half the tire diameter, eg. a 33" tire gets a 16" - 17" rim.

Whatever happened to manufacturers offering "performance" packages that actually increase the performance of the vehicle? Too many of these packages are simply better wheels, a flashy interior, and some chrome pieces.

I'd like to see manufacturers offer the 6.1 Hemi in their current vehicles without having to have the R/T or the Daytona packages (I don't like the wings on the Rams?)

Overkill, yes that's true but there are limits. Otherwise nascar would be running the same right? Failure rates on low profile tires are all too common. Lets here from one of our resident math majors to explain rotational force in regards to this subject. The size of that wheel would indicate more weight which in turn would need to be redirected with more force, which would take more time to slow in order to change direction. Lets not even start about how the hell you stop those steamrollers! Anyway, I could be wrong but the beers won't let me back down!!
