    PCM problems? Transmission problems?

On our last trip, I had the cruise set anywhere from 70-73 most of the trip. I noticed that when it would drop to 7th gear going up a hill, that it was almost impossible to get it to shift back to 8th gear, even though I would be going downhill again. I usually had to slow down some to get back into 8th, then resume on the cruise again.

Another problem we have been having, in normal stop and go driving, it is real sluggish coming from a dead stop. It seems to shift very quickly up to 3rd or 4th gear before we barely get going. I can put my foot into it a little more and it will down shift and take off quickly. Our gas mileage sucks because of this. I am talking about granny starts, just normal stop and go type driving in traffic. It is not a fuel delivery problem feel, more transmission or computer problem.

    Any ideas?

This is a 2014 Durango Citadel with the V6...

Not real sure! I will tell my wife to turn it off tomorrow on her way to work and see how it does...

There's been a few software updates in the past year or so that made improvements to the shifting. If you haven't had it into the dealer for a while, you may consider checking for updates.

Also, you could try resetting the adaptives and force it to re-learn. You can use a tuner to do t, or a Tazer, or disconnect the battery for a few minutes. There may also be a fuse which will do it, but I'm not sure on that one.

I will have to get it to the dealer and check. I will also try d/c'ing the battery this evening and see if that helps.

    Thanks guys for the suggestions!

Hope it helps ... and just FYI, in case you didn't already know, the battery is under the front passenger's seat. Move the seat all the way forward, then open the rear door and you'll see the battery cover under the front seat. Pop it up and the negative terminal is right there.
