    2008 Dodge Durango, 5.7L HEMI, 4x4, Limited

    2008 Durango SRT8 Conversion

I've been looking into making my 2008 Dodge Durango 5.7L Limited 4X4 into a SRT8 Durango. I've got a few ideas right now that I think would work, let me know if you have any additional ideas or suggestions. Most parts I've found are off of the SRT8 JEEP Grand Cherokee

    1. SRT8 Front Bumper
I'm looking at taking a 2008 GC SRT8 front bumper and my 2008 Durango front bumper and having the two cut and plastic welded. Keeping the top of the Durango bumper so that it fits with the grill and lights, while using the bottom of the GC SRT8 bumper to add the SRT8 look.

    2. SRT8 Rear Bumper
I'd like to do the same with the rear bumper and plastic weld the GC and Durango bumpers for the SRT8 look. Also installing dual exhaust tips to complete the look.

    3. SRT8 Rims and Brembo Brakes
Install the 20" SRT8 rims from the Grand Cherokee, and the full Brembo brake kit.

    4. SRT8 Interior Add-Ons
I'd like to add the metal pedals from the GC SRT8, possibly a SRT8 steering wheel, and if possible the cluster from the the GC SRT8.

    5. SRT8 Seats
Putting in the GC SRT8 front seats and if they fit, the middle row seats as well.

    6. SRT8 Badges
The SRT8 Badges to complete the look, along with a 392 HEMI Badges on the front quarter panel, and removing and putting a SRT8 badge where the current HEMI badge is. One of the front grill as well.

    7. SRT8 Engine
Eventually adding a 6.4L SRT8 engine, or keeping the 5.7L and adding a Supercharger.

    lots to worry about, because..
the 2008 Durango (HB) and GC (WK) share almost nothing..
it is a lot harder to swap parts between them than the newer Durango (WD) and GC (WK2) which share a platform
    Be amazed at the friends

Due to our smog laws you would have to upgrade the entire emissions package to the year of the 6.4 engine as well. Lots of little stuff involved other than just swapping in an engine. Does sound like fun though.
Hanson front bumper, Kennesaw rear bumper, Ranch9000xl's w/ remote, Detroit Locker, lots of other goodies

Looks like a lot of the parts aren't interchangeable, but if I can at least get the bumpers modified to fit, and SRT8 seats, then the biggest parts of making it look like an SRT8 should be done.
The badges will of course fit, the pedals should be a direct fit. Though the cluster probably won't work, so I'll most likely remove mine and have it customized by a shop to look more SRT8 style and say SRT8 on the speedometer.
If there's something that you don't think will work, please say why.

Maybe the brakes won't work from the GC, but I see so reason why the rims wouldn't work.

The amount you would spend to do that and have a hacked up 2008 you are better off saving your money and wait for the 2018 Durango SRT which seems like it may actually make it out. By the time you got it all figured out you would just have a headache, an empty pocket and a 10 year old car about to have other issues.

The rims won't work because they are a totally different wheel pattern. Your Durango uses Ram parts and shares almost nothing with the Jeep, as has been mentioned.

I don't even think you'll get the seats to bolt in without a bit of custom work. They are totally different platforms so I can't imagine the seat bolt arrangement is anything similar.

The badging is about the only thing that won'r require custom work costing likely more than the truck is worth. even the bumpers are totally different widths.
