Here is a good read on the 2016 Uconnect updates: Five big updates for 2016 Uconnect 8.4 | FCA Corporate Blog
Interesting.....Being that my local dealership has offered to sell me a 16 at invoice minus half of the holdback you raise an interesting question. I was going to get the lifetime warranty, so maybe the 15 is less attractive than I thought.. Can you expand on the updated uconnect?
I was more in a hurry to get the 0% and the 6yr/100k mile Powertrain Warranty, which has been reduced for the 2016 DD.
Being that L-Dub is going for the lifetime warranty, it looks like there's really no benefit of going for the 2015 over the 2016.
We just bought ours. Not in the R/T class but a Limited. Limited, Blacktop, Premium group and we negotiated down to 14% off MSRP in San Diego. Having the 100k warranty was the kicker for her. I'd definitely negotiate further down otherwise, paying the same price for a '16 seems the way to go. Assuming you can be patient
OK, I pick up my 15 DD RT on Monday, I am bummed as it is NOT a blacktop but it will be ok. what do I need to put on my list to have checked out before I leave the dealership? FYI the dealership is 3 hours a way......
OK, schedules have kept me from making the transaction. However while I have waited another deal has popped up. Can I get some input about which deal to take?
deal 1) 15 RT/ Blacktop. Tech/Napa/Tow/Rear Captains. MSRP $51,040 price $46,000 (941 miles) (no DVD)
deal 2) 15 RT. Tech/Napa/DVD/Tow/rear Captains MSRP $53,410 price $47,250 (50 or so miles) (no Blacktop)
Deal 1 offers $1K better on my trade....
I should complete the transaction on Friday. Thanks in advance.
2011 HEMI Citadel AWD aka "Klaus"
Mopar Cold Air Intake
Gibson Axle back exhaust
Osram CBI 5500k 35W low beam HID
2012 Dodge Caliber SXT aka Trixie
I still say ordering a 2016 is your best bet. You can get the newer year model, with the same options, for a cheaper price.
The rear seat entertainment isn't worth the $2k MSRP to me; especially when my kids have Kindles, and we have iPads and such for them to watch movies and play games on long trips.
