    Extended Warranty/Vehicle Protection Plan

Has anyone bought one from Dodge/MOPAR? Seems pretty expensive I got a 2400 quote online for 72mo/100K miles ($100 deductible). Not sure if the dealer would give me a cheaper price. Might go with USAA
Extended Vehicle Protection from Assurant Solutions (online quote was 1400 for 72/100K (no deductible). Wondering if anyone had experiences with either one of these and/or where you bought it.

I would go with the Chrysler plan (in fact, I did). Much less hassle when you need to use it.

Yes, the advantage of the factory program... it is a factory program. All others I would avoid.

I did some research last year and found a few dealers offering plans online. You're better off sticking with something that you know the dealers won't question when the need to use it arises...

My extended was purchased at the dealer but is not a Chrysler product. I did some research and feel good about it.

I rack up miles for work so this made sense for me. No personal experience just yet.

I just got mine for my challenger from the chrysler factory plans website. 5-100k for $980 something. Shes a daily driver and I'm racking up 20-22k per year at this point. I just hit 30K, (1.3 years old), so I have another 70K left. I also found you can get the factory one up to 40k miles or 3 years if you bought it new.(I thought it was 30k or 3years) Price is dependant on how many miles, I did not attempt quote at 40k miles to see difference. My quote and purchase was done at 29K last Tuesday.
Mine is the ADDED PLUS contract, FYI. I wanted to cover the drivetrain and computer, my only need. All interior and body, I have no worries about.

Be very careful with aftermarket plans. Some dealerships have almost been driven under by bad plans. If available go with the factory plans, even if more money is involved. If you have a good service writer/Advisor some great mods can be worked into your rig under the plan.

When I bought m 03, I also purchased an extended service contract good to 100k - it was a Chrysler backed plan, $100 deductable; IIRC is was about $2200 at the time. It more than paid for itself; 1- Transmission, 1- AC control, 2- Ball joints(uppers?), 4-AC Compressors, 1-Complete rebuild of AC/Heating system front and rear, 1-Body Control module,1-steering rack.
Get the Chrysler one - Dealer had no issues getting authorizations for repairs and was familiar with all the ins and outs of the plan.
