This will be my somewhat first year in a winter environment in Dallas Texas. The weather is very weird here as it fluctuates so much but there is potential for ice and snow in the winter.

I just got my RT and it a used 2014 but in excellent condition. I am not sure how many times it should be waxed a year or how to "winterize" a car as I have only lived in Florida all my life.
    Any tips are welcome!

    Wash
    Clay
    Sealant
    Wax (if you want)

Claying will get the paint real smooth with no contaminates stuck to the paint. The sealant is going yo protect the paint by bonding to it to give you 5-6 months of protection. Waxing with a good quality carnauba wax is going to give you 3-4 months of protection.

I should add that trying to correct and swirl marks or anything like that would be pretty pointless with winter here. Correct the paint in the spring. I will add that I would take the tires off the vehicle and wash the inside of the rims(barrels) too.

    Barrels cleaned today

I don't think I have ever sealed or clayed if you will. Hell, i don't think i have hand washed a vehicle in over 10 years.

I usually do the no touch pressure wash which still isn't good but lesser of 2 evils. I want to try a little more manual love with my Durango so I will research into the above and best ways to do it. Thanks so much!

In preparation for this winter this past week I got my wheels ceramic coated and the front bumper, headlights and mirrors wrapped with clear bra.

Last month I did a full polish, then coated the paint with Kamikaze ISM and Miyabi, wheels were pulled, full wash then face and barrels were coated with Americana Americoat. I'm done with the paint for two years!
