locking gas cap or locking door

i need a locking gas cap or gas door with a lock for my 03 dango slt 4.7l. Ive seen the ones at autozone and online but they look cheap... any of you gen1 owners have a trusty brand or suggestions? also, if i go with autozone brand.. do they pass inspection?

There have been problems reported with aftermarket caps and the emissions system. Use a locking billet door.

I've had a locking gas cap I got for under $10 on ebay for almost 5 years now with no issues.

Hey thatguy, What brand is it? The billet is cool (in Black) but hurts the pockets for just gas cap.

I don't think it has a brand, it's just whatever generic one came up on ebay at the time. Looks like a couple good options on Amazon too. They'll at least take returns no problems if it doesn't work for you.

Here is the locking billet gas door I have been using from All Sales. Expensive? Yeah, it isn't cheap at $90 but it looks great and has worked great for over two years now. One note with a locking door, make sure you can orient your gas cap in any direction you want. The stock Durango gas cap will click then you can rotate it further to get it vertical and out of the way of the lock. I lost my original gas cap and got an aftermarket one that would click and then stay there and it caused problems with trying to lock the door. I picked up a stocker from the dealer and all my problems were solved.

my truck uses a billet locking door, found it off of another forum & their member for 30.00 used. Been (Knock on wood) lucky so far on the other vehicles. I just figured I might get hit on the truck for stolen gas, and since it held 30+ gallons, I didn't need the $150 gone when the $5/gallon gas was around...

I've had a lockable gas cap for awhile now, no issues as of yet. I like that locking billet door though.
